That must have been awful:(

Ooh, I just checkout NetGalley, and it looks cool, but the problem is, I don't really have one of those reader things. Plus, I probably spend way too much time on screens anyway XDOliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03546655886492251059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624597359174394097.post-12734514265232581252015-05-10T13:40:21.772-04:002015-05-10T13:40:21.772-04:00Oh, and have you checked out NetGalley?Oh, and have you checked out NetGalley?paperdollmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14315900640385889481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624597359174394097.post-31275316707013091792015-05-10T13:38:41.806-04:002015-05-10T13:38:41.806-04:00Anything can go terribly wrong with a birth anywhe...Anything can go terribly wrong with a birth anywhere. Or if you are me.....you could just be in labor land for days with no progression! My siblings and I were all born at home just fine! Nursing school definitely has it's opinions on home births and they aren't favorable so I just ignored them. ;)Lois Tinúvielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01113667315479652015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624597359174394097.post-69825255084430891892015-05-09T21:32:49.378-04:002015-05-09T21:32:49.378-04:00Yes! As a matter of fact, I think I was first directed to the blogger review program through one of your reviews for them!:)

Yes, exactly--its proportions weren't exactly Ivanhoe-sized, but it was sweet and simple:) I think Miracle in a Dry Season is actually a prequel to Until the Harvest. Yup, I appreciate Mrs. Thomas's realistic representation of people, even though sometimes she stretched it;)

Haha, thank you! 'T'is upsetting when people misjudge home births, is it not?:DOliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03546655886492251059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624597359174394097.post-91061195781823964462015-05-09T16:33:15.598-04:002015-05-09T16:33:15.598-04:00You're a Bethany House reviewer now! That'... You're a Bethany House reviewer now! That's awesome. :-)

I read Sarah Loudin Thomas's Miracle in a Dry Season, which was rather sweet, but didn't strike much in me. This sounds like much the same type of book-- not overly engaging, but good. I do like Mrs. Thomas's descriptions a lot.

I was born at home too, as were both my sisters-- like you said, women have been doing it for ages, and things can go wrong just as easily in a hospital. I appreciated your little rant. :-)

~EmmaEmma Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00215503772898813587noreply@blogger.com
