I hope things worked out? Hmm, I've had trouble with the gifs on there before, too, and I actually got an email from Pinterest about how they were removing the ability to access liked pins? I didn't really understand what or why they were doing it, but it didn't affect me too much since I don't really look at my liked pins. But I felt bad for those who do. :-P Blogger wouldn't let you change the color?! That's really strange. (Seriously, I'm so glad SOMEBODY else knows about that movie.) *deep, frustrated sigh* I'm sorry to disillusion you, but if I can spare you the frustration I had to go through, I'm actually not all that sorry. I know the trailer is like so stinking awesome and the movie itself is too until the ending and then there's like NO CLOSURE and I'm like EXCUSE YOOOOUUUUU?!?!?!?! To be fair, there's the possibility of a reunion, but . . . UGGGHHHHH. I felt so cheated. (BECAUSE I WAS.)

Vice versa, for me! I can see why people like it. :D

SAME GIRL, SAME. Well, actually, I didn't think I'd read the whole time -- I constructed a pile of movies to watch and basically crashed on the couch for three days. There was a lot of Legally Blonde and We Bought a Zoo going on, as I recall. So I was actually kind of surprised that I ended up reading Anna Karenina. :-P And no, it actually wasn't! I was sure it would be! But I actually found it . . . quite Compelling and Moving. And he (Tolstoy) handled the adultery issue SO. WELL. Of course, I'm sure I skimmed a good portion of it (I'm a shameless skimmer, especially with books that long), but I'm also pretty sure I read the majority of it and it was surprisingly, pleasantly good. :)

You're so welcome!! Oops, sorry it's taken me so long to reply -- I was specifically tagging you for the first set of questions, but you're more than welcome to answer the second, too. :)

Hehe, I know how that goes. ;) (Also, okay, so is your name Kayla or Kate? Or which do you prefer? Because I thought it was Kayla but then I seem to remember a time when it was Kate Marie on your blog?? Did I totally space out and imagine that?? I KNOW I LIKE IT. :) {Yep, it...Hehe, thank you :D

I KNOW I LIKE IT. :) {Yep, it's from GG! I think you'd like it, too. :) I mean, it's got some *ahem* content -- I can be more thorough if you'd like -- but it's also got some really neat relationships, especially between the two in the gif, and it's a good blend of chipper, happy, pick-me-up flick material and Difficult Life and Relational Things. So yeah. If you can get past the content, I'd recommend the first four seasons, at least. :) (I haven't seen the fifth through the eighth seasons, except for isolated episodes and clips, but I kind of read up about how things turn out, and I'm hoping to finish watching the reunion they recently did.)}

Uncle Tom's Cabin is quite good, yes! It was sort of . . . different than most novels I've read, in that I didn't get as "invested" or "immersed" in the characters' story . . . but at the same time I totally was? It's super hard to explain. Suffice it to say that it gave me a different reading experience than I can really remember getting before, while still being a really well-crafted novel (and obviously, a really well-crafted outcry against slavery.) So . . . yeah. I'd recommend it, too. :)

I KNOW, I'M SUCH A WILD CHILD. (Hehe, that's not so silly! I feel like it's sillier and more nonsensical to read the last line. ;))

Oh, wow! Haha, "though if it's a Dickens book, that's another matter. They're long enough." << So true, my friend, so true. ;-P

It is a little weird, isn't it?! (It's not a great selection, though. So not as exciting as it could be. :-P) I don't think all the branches in my library system have it, though -- just the one closest to my home. If that makes any sense?

WELL. *cracks knuckles* Yes, I have read POTO. As to what I thought of it . . . well, not much, and that's the truth. :-P It IS pretty different from the musical, but sort of the same amount of difference between book and musical as Les Mis (maybe a little more), I guess? My main issues with it were 1) it's a Gothic romance, and that genre just gets under my skin in general, and 2) Raoul ACTUALLY burst into tears almost every other page. So . . . um. Yes. It's a bit darker than the musical (ha) and ends differently. I also found it kind of hard to follow?? But it DOES have some lovely lines in it (or at least, my translation did). So, y'know, I'm not trying to dissuade you from reading it -- but it IS a little strange. :-P

I agree. :) (Yasss! Practically all of Tolkien's names, really. They do sound kind of similar!)Oliviahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03546655886492251059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624597359174394097.post-629843860219045862017-05-13T17:11:59.109-04:002017-05-13T17:11:59.109-04:00Combining tags just makes things easier.
