New Look?

So…whaddya guys think of the new look I'm trying?  I'll be fiddling around with it over the next couple of days, but some input would be helpful!  I know I changed my look not too long ago, but I kind of wanted something a little more springy and cheery.

Thoughts?  Advice?  Is there too much going on with the background?  Thanks!:)

    Oh my wordy! Very profesh and distinguished-looking! Well done.

    Well, the background might be a teeny bit distracting as it doesn't match the width of your blog. I don't really mind though, the salmon-coloured flower is gorgeous. :-)

    Oh my gosh! I love it! :-) The background is adorable, though like Naomi said, it could be a tiny bit distracting since it's not quite lined up. But I think you've done very well!

    I don't mind a change in your blog look so soon (says the girl who changes hers every other month). ;-P I loved your black and white theme, but this is much springier and happier. :-)

    By the way, I took the Audrey Hepburn quiz too and got Breakfast at Tiffany's Audrey. I've never seen the movie, so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. ;-P

      Oh, fun! Well, I've only seen part of it, so I couldn't really tell you:P But from what I remember, Audrey's character at least was quite sophisticated and kind:)

    This is so cute! Although I have to admit I adored your other look.
    Your header is soooo pretty. And, I have to agree with Naomi, the background is a little distracting but it's so cute, so I guess it's your call. :) I love the color of it!!

    My only quibble is that whenever I hover my mouse over a link, it totally disappears. Other than that, very spring-ful!

Well, darlin's, here 't'is!  A review of the TV series Lark Rise to Candleford .   SO!  I finished the final season the other night, and am here to discuss my thoughts;)  (Spoilers will be sprinkled indiscriminately!  Read at your own risk;D) LRtC centers around young Laura Timmins, a girl from the wee hamlet of Lark Rise, who moves to the  more affluent town of Candleford to work in her aunt's (or was she just a cousin?) post office.  Miss Dorcas Lane is probably the wealthiest person in Candleford and holds a lot of sway with the townspeople.  With Laura's advent into Candleford, the two communities begin to be intertwined. The show's basic plots aren't my absolute favorites, but I love how relaxed the show is, and how marvelous the characters are.  (Because they just ARE.)  It's a cozy series, but at the same time there are moments of rather intense drama.   I'm not feeling extremely eloquent for reviewin...

Jane Eyre: 2006 VS 2011

I've seen four adaptations of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre so far, and while all of them have had at least one good element, the two that actually vie for the honor of My Favored One are the 2006 miniseries with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens and the 2011 movie with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender. Every time I watch these two, I try to figure out which Jane/Rochester pairing is my favorite; and every time, I come to the conclusion that I can't decide.  So, naturally, I've decided to further this exercise in futility by hashing out my feelings here on the blog. :-P  It's pretty disorganized and patchy, but so be it.  Basically, I just wanted to vent a little, and that's what I've done. ;) (And please bear with me:  This is practically the only Gothic romance story I like and allow myself to get all caught up in every now and then, so there may be gushing ahead since this story has kind of been "on the brain" recently.  Don't worr...

My Dream Cast for a Live-Action Remake of 'The Incredibles'

Alas, no, I am aware of no immediate plans for Disney to produce a live-action version of The Incredibles .  But if such plans should ever materialize . . . have I got a cast ready for them or what. 😉 ⸻ Elastigirl / Helen Parr Emma Stone Emma would rock Helen's grit & sass like no other actress available today & I will not be accepting criticism of that statement at this time.  I would absolutely love to see her in this role.  She would crush it.  Mr. Incredible / Bob Parr Eric Allan Kramer I know he's a leetle too old now, especially as a partner for Stone, but he's the only person I've ever been able to envision as Bob.  (Except Alan Hale, Jr., but he's about six feet too old.)  So it is what it is, peeps.  Violet Parr Mackenzie Foy   I went back and forth on the casting for Violet.  I would also love to see what Millie Bobby Brown could do with the role, so it was difficult to decide.  In the end, I think Mackenzie Foy would ...
