Apologies, Explanations, and Announcements

*waves sheepishly*

Remember me?

Yes.  Well.  This.

Naomi's Pinterest is the answer when you need pretty pictures for blog posts

So, I've been incommunicado for close to two months, haven't I?  Someday, I will learn how to not make elaborate promises/commitments on here when it's not technically within my power to guarantee I'll be able to follow through thereon.  Someday that'll happen.  (It just may take a little while ;))  Anyway, I obviously haven't written that review I was asking y'all about in my last post.  And to be honest, I don't know when I'll be able to start blogging/emailing more frequently.  I have several emails from several dear friends (you know who you are) languishing in my inbox, and I am so sorry that I haven't replied to them.

Here's the thing.  Senior year kind of hit me out of nowhere.  Oh, it's not that I wasn't prepared to be a senior--that had been slowly sinking in all summer.  But I wasn't prepared for how much busier I would be.  Technically speaking, it's not actually that big of a difference from last year in terms of how many things I'm doing, but for whatever reason, I'm kind of scrambling for spare time.  Now, granted, it's always harder at the beginning of the school year, so hopefully things will start to iron themselves out, I'll get into a better schedule, etc.; but for now, I'm sorry to have to say that I really can't say when I'll be "around" again.  I really, really miss and think of each and every one of you--I miss posting and READING ALL OF YOUR POSTS! and commenting and squealing and such.  You all are such blessings to me <3

However, I'm very much hoping to be able to be slightly more involved over Christmas break, at least.  We shall see :)  In the meantime, I apologize again for how "out of it" I've been for so long!  Love you all lots <3 <3 <3

P.S.  Did you guys know that the new Magnificent Seven has come out?  At first, when I was watching the trailer, I was scared I was going to like it.  But then I read the reviews and Kids-in-Mind ratings and such, and I am now satisfied:  I think I shall find it just as appalling and inferior as I hope to :)  I have an idea for a review I could write whenever I actually get to see it, and I really hope I can do it sometime.  (I'm not trying to tear down your favorite movie if you've seen it and liked it, though, honest I'm not.  I haven't seen it yet, so I may still be prejudging it :)  It's just that the original Mag7 is one of my favorite Westerns, so…yeah.)

P.P.S.  Here's a picture I found that really should not make me laugh as much as it does.  It's pretty bad.  But every time I look at it, the more I think about it, the more it makes me laugh :"D

(I'm sorry in advance.)

  1. OLIVIA. *crushes you in a big virtual hug*

I've missed you so much!!!! But I totally understand being busy. Heaven knows how hard it is for me to keep up with *my* blog, much less everyone else's. O.O So PLEASE don't feel bad about not posting as often! We completely understand that you have a hugely busy life (gosh, you're a senior? that's a scary/exciting time of life). But I do miss you, just so you know, dear. <3

Lots of love to you! Here's hoping that the rest of the fall term is less busy! (I only have six weeks till my first college class is done! Eeep!)

    I LOVE YOU, DEAR! <333

  2. Olivia!!! Dawsw I've missed you too, and don't feel bad about not posting 'cause I havn't either..... So we are one when it comes to that.

And I also understand about school being crazy... I'm not a senior, but I did switch to public school this year *gasps* and it's been crazy to adjust too....

Oh. My. Word. That picture is amazing. It made my day. :)

Anywho, this is a rather scatterbrained comment, but I just wanted to say hi, and I missed you too. :)

  3. Olivia!!! It's wonderful to have you back!!

  4. LIV!!! I've missed you so much!!! It's so simply lovely for you to be back! =D

    1. Also I totally get ya about Senior Year.. I've nearly finnished my first year of University (wut) I'm actually in my last class for the academic year now

  5. Missed you, Olivia!!! Hope things get easier soon. I'm in my junior year and am experiencing much the same thing - there's not enough time to do it all!

  6. So glad you've been able to post some again! (I honestly haven't been keeping up with all of your posts, but I've been trying to do better with that.)
And don't worry, Olivia, we'll get through this senior year together! You can do it! We shall prevail! :)

  7. Missed you too, and all I can say is I don't miss those school days at all! Hang in there, and we'll wait for you to have time to post!

  8. Also I seem to have tagged you for the Blogger Recognition Award??? (Funny how when you schedule your posts ahead of time they have a way of creeping up on you when you're not expecting it!)

So anyway, you're obviously pretty busy so don't feel like you have to do it - I just thought I'd let you know!

    Here it is:https://storyanddarkchocolate.wordpress.com/2016/10/23/my-second-ever-tag/

  9. That picture ... don't know whether to laugh or cry, honestly. Miss you, girl.

  10. Also tagging you for blogger recognition

  11. I've missed you a lot, Olivia!! Just thought you should know that. :)

I hope your school isn't too much of a nasty business, and that it gets easier. My school has been really challenging too, (as I'm nearing the end of my own).

I cannot BELIEVE it's Christmas Eve in exactly TWO MONTHS. But I'm also VERY VERY HIGHLY RIDICULOUSLY UNBELIEVABLY SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!! I love Christmas so much!!!!!! Cannot WAIT. Plus, no school, ya know. ;)

Hahaha. That picture. I think I'd find that pretty disturbing having that for MY shower head. ;P

    ~Miss Meg

  12. SHE IS BACK. Yayyyy! I've definitely missed you. :-) Don't APOLOGISE for having a busy life though... I mean, we've all been there and that's perfectly normal! :-)
(Thanks for my Pinterest shoutout. All there is to it is follow people who pin great things, honestly. ;-P)

  13. GUUHHHHHH SENIOR YEAR. It's crazy, isn't it? I can totally understand. I hope your schedule becomes less busy soon! (And I love both of those pictures 😝)

  14. GAAAHH! I'VE MISSED YOU, GIRL!!! *huge big hug*

I completely understand about life being busy, though, so DON'T feel bad about being absent. It's okay. Really. We'll just be all the more happy whenever you do find the time to post! (Absence makes the heart grow fonder, you know. :))

  15. Hahahaha, that picture makes me laugh, too.

'Hem. Perhaps I should have saved that to mention last. Ah, well. :P

I MISS YOU IN THE BLOGGING WORLD SO MUCH but goodness, I COMPLETELY understand. Take all the time you need for senior year. I know how overwhelming school can be, and it's no fun. But, I know you can conquer this, and conquer it well. (Just quote Mr. Darcy for inspiration: "I shall conquer this! I SHALL.") I have faith in you! :D

All that being said, I'm already looking forward to Christmas (because, reasons), but I'm doubly looking forward to it because you'll be baaaack. (Hopefully, of course. If things change, that would be understandable, too. ;))

*giant hug* Love and miss you, dear Olivia!!!

Ps. I'm not even a big fan of the Mag7 (sorrrryyyy) (to clairfy, I don't dislike it; I just don't love it), but I agree. That new movie looks horrid. I didn't even finish watching the trailer; it was so violent and like....I don't know. Unnecessarily bad? It made all the "heroes" seem more like villains and...I just didn't like it. :P

  16. Also also I saw the video again and I'm crying.. you guys are the best sweetest friend

  17. best sweetest blogging friends* thank you so much for including me

  18. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww . . . Don't ever feel like you have to apologize for being busy!! I understand--believe me, I underSTAND. Like, seriously. *tries not to think about the gargantuan pile of homework waiting in the next room*

I wish I could say more but I just got out of a 3-hour-long class where we did nothing except talk about WW2, and I'm pretty much dead. But I miss you and I wish you were here with me :-/

  19. This one is extraordinary and is truly a decent post. I think it will help me a ton in the related stuff and is all that much helpful for me.

Comments make my day. Seriously. I'd be so happy if you commented. :)

I've gotten really bad about replying in a timely manner, but it's always my intention to do so eventually. (Even though it doesn't always happen. ;))
