My Mini Dream Cast for {Ivanhoe}

Image
WELL.  Y'all were kind enough to support my idea of creating a dream cast for Ivanhoe , so here I am!   For those of you who don't know, I recently finished re-reading this book for the first time in a while, and I discovered that I still loved it every bit as much as I hoped I did. IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS. And, as some of you may know, it's been made into more than one movie adaptation already. So the challenge that faces me is that I feel like the adaptations have cast certain parts flawlessly, but either the acting itself didn't quite fill the role, or other things about the movies are off, etc. So who would * I * cast if given the choice? ;) By the way, the reason the title says "mini" is that I have ideas for the four main characters and the four main characters only.  I'm flexible about the others.  I'd know if I approved a casting choice after I'd seen this hypothetical movie. :-P  The only other character I would

Lovely Blog Party || Top Ten Book Couples

Image
As promised, the third and final installment of my LBP contributions: my top ten book couples!   This list was fun and a bit challenging to compile -- at first because I honestly couldn't think of that many (apparently my favorite books don't necessarily include my favorite romances *shrugs*), and then because once I did start to think of them, they started pouring in!  So this list, like the movies/TV one, has changed around quite a bit, and even now I couldn't positively guarantee its accuracy.  But I feel like that really doesn't matter to anyone but me, so I shall shut up about it forthwith. ;) Hope you enjoy the post! #10. Neil & Christy From: Christy {by Catherine Marshall} I actually don't really like this picture, for some reason. "Impetuously, I leaned forward and kissed Neil MacNeill gently on the cheek.  Before he could say anything, I had vaulted off Charlie's back and dashed into the mission house." {Ch. 41

Lovely Blog Party || Couples for Couples Tag

Image
Happy Valentine's Day, m'dears!   May we never forget that God's love is the greatest.  Today I shall be filling out  Cordy's tag for this wonderful blog party of hers.  I decided to pick couples that I haven't used in either of my "Top Ten" posts (watch out for my top ten book couples tomorrow) for my answers. :)  That way, I can include some other favorites who didn't quite make it onto either list. Ivanhoe and Rebecca: Name a couple that should have been together [For the record, just so we're clear, I don't necessarily think that Rebecca and Ivanhoe should have ended up together, but I love that one of my very favorite stories is represented in this tag!!!] Okay, now, about the actual question:  Can I name four?  (I have problems, hehe.) Bella and Vernon from This Beautiful Fantastic Tara and Ronin from Epic {I'M STILL MAD, BLUE SKY PRODUCTIONS} Ruby and Whale from Once Upon a Time Rory and Jess from Gilmore Gir

Lovely Blog Party || Top Ten Movie/TV Couples {2nd Edition}

Image
Hello, all!  This is the first of my three posts for Cordy's Lovely Blog Party , going on the whole month of February!  I decided to make a "Valentine sandwich" for my contributions: my two top ten couples lists (one today, one the 15th) bookending my answers to Cordy's tag, to be answered on the 14th itself. :) So!  Today's post is my second attempt at a top ten list for my favorite movie and TV couples.  (I did one before, but I shan't link to it -- if you really want to, you can find it fairly easily.  It's no longer entirely accurate, and hence the reboot. ;-P)  Now, I majorly overthink things and am also rather indecisive, so you may imagine how difficult such endeavors often are for me. :-P  All's I can say is, this list has changed quite a bit in the brief span of time I've been working on it, so I hope it's accurate, but I couldn't swear to it in court, dontcha know.  The order is roughly accurate (with the very top fav

Liebster Award

Image
Two tag/award posts in a row?!  I know, I know.  But, you see, Hamlette the Dame has honored me with the Liebster Award , and, true to her norm, she's given it a cool twist.  Her "questions" are which movies we would choose as the winners if we got to judge the Academy Awards this year.  Isn't that fun?! Now, this means that we can only use movies released in 2017 for our answers, and I've seen a total of five 2017 movies so far (hopefully I haven't forgotten any), so there will be multiple awards given to each, heh.  Also, I'm an indecisive little person, so most of my answers are, "Wellllll . . . either [blank] OR [blank]." :-P (I'm also required to list 11 random facts about myself, so that should be interesting. *wiggles eyebrows*) ~ The Rules ~ - Acknowledge the blog that gave it to you and display the award - Answer the 11 questions that the blogger gives you - Give 11 random facts about yourself - Nominate 11 blogs - N
