I know I've been a shamefully neglectful blogger - really hardly worthy of the name, but here's a small token just so this poor website knows I haven't completely forgotten about it.  I've got a longer post on hold, and hopefully I'll get it posted soon, but until then, I thought I'd share with you all some of the pictures that I have been taking far too much delight in making recently.  Some of them were inspired by music videos, movies (wow, SHOCKER there), etc., and some of them came out of my own creative little noggin;)  Anywho, here you are (ahem, yes, the majority are LOTR-themed with other captions.  OK, so all of them are except for two.) :

First things first: I changed my blog look!  March 1st is the first day of spring to me, and "I will brook no argument."  So that means, for me, that SPRING HAS BEGUN!!! Ivanhoe (1997) movie review

I think you all know this, but I am a rather big Ivanhoe fan.  I read the book for the first time a number of months ago and absolutely fell in love.  Well, now that I loved the book, I must needs try out the film adaptations, mustn't I? My first preference would have been for the 1982 version starring Anthony Andrews and Olivia Hussey, as I'd seen clips of that and they looked decent.  Unfortunately, however, my library system doesn't have it, and neither does YouTube or Netflix or other such commodities:(  Thus, I had to content myself with first seeing the 1997 miniseries version, which I just finished yesterday. Here are my thoughts;) Opening scene:   Why is it starting with Ivanhoe being flogged?  This makes little sense. *sigh*  Overall…I'm torn.  Certain things were done extremely well, and some were done…not so well.  The main problem, put succinctly, is that it kept making me have this reaction so many times: Seriously, though.  I mean, I loved t

BBC Robin Hood TV Series, Season 1 Review

First off, this part was the CUTEST. THING. EVER. *takes deep, shuddery breath* Okay, peoples. I'm going to try my very best to get through this review.  It'll be hard.  Because what even is this. For starters, let me say that I have only watched the first season of the BBC Robin Hood .  This is because the show is going off Netflix on February 9th *sniffle*, so I knew there was no way I'd be able to squeeze watched 26 episodes of a very feelsy show into a mere couple of weeks.  So I've watched the first season and will leave it at that until I can find some other way to watch the rest.  It was also because I know That Which Happens At The End Of Season Two, and I was so not  about to put myself through that when there was a danger of not being able to watch the third season.  There is a possibility that I might just skip the second season and watch the third, even though that would mean missing so much of Djaq and Will and even though I've he
